HISTORY OF
LIVERPOOL OLYMPIC
FOOTBALL CLUB

Liverpool Olympic was first formed in 1982, with a vision to bring the community together through football/soccer. In 1983 the first U12’s team was olaying in the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association. The First playing fields were at Liverpool Boys High School, before moving to Phillips Park Lurnea and then finally moving to Hoxton Park Reserve in 1990, where we have been ever since.
 
In 2002, the club underwent a major renovation, upgrading our old facilities to include a new canteen and clubhouse. 
As a club, Liverpool Olympic believes in providing a safe haven for children of all ages,
Encouraging team sports, making friends, bring the community together through the common love of football and supporting the local community. Liverpool Olympic Football Club has a dedicated committee, which consists of volunteers who are passionate about football, the community and the improvement of the club.
Liverpool Olympic Football Club is looking forward to building a bigger and better club to support future soccer stars and servicing the growing wider community of South Western Sydney.

The following year, in 1983, the club’s first U12’s team began playing in the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association. Initially, the club played their matches at Liverpool Boys High School before relocating to Phillips Park Lurnea. However, in 1990, the club found its permanent home at Hoxton Park Reserve, where it has remained ever since.
 
In 2002, Liverpool Olympic underwent a significant transformation by upgrading its existing facilities. This renovation included the addition of a brand new canteen and clubhouse, providing a comfortable environment for players, supporters, and visitors alike. 
 
Liverpool Olympic Football Club is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for children of all ages. The club strongly believes in the power of team sports to foster friendship and camaraderie, while also bringing the community together through their shared love for football. Additionally, the club actively supports the local community and strives to make a positive impact beyond the boundaries of the pitch.
 
The success and growth of Liverpool Olympic Football Club can be attributed to the dedicated committee of volunteers who are deeply passionate about football, the community, and the continuous improvement of the club. Their unwavering commitment and hard work have played a pivotal role in shaping the club’s identity and ensuring its ongoing success.
 
Looking ahead, Liverpool Olympic Football Club is excited about the prospect of expanding and enhancing its facilities to accommodate the growing number of aspiring soccer stars and serve the wider community of South Western Sydney. The club is determined to create an even stronger and more vibrant football community, nurturing talent and providing opportunities for players to thrive.
